Recognize Dissolution of the South Fulton Parent-Teacher Organization |

Background Information: Annually, the Board recognizes school support organizations that are materially compliant with state law and board policies. On January 7, 2013, the South Fulton Parent-Teacher Organization, in a special-called meeting, voted to dissolve the organization. There appears to be issues with procedures and accountability. Based on the meeting, it appears the Comptroller’s Office has been contacted. Staff Recommendation: I recommend that the Board recognize the dissolution of the South Fulton Parent-Teacher Organization and remove this organization from District’s website. Since this organization is no longer active, no fundraising activities are allowed to take place. |
